A final installment in artist/producer Pheelz’s Pheelz Good trilogy (after 2023’s Pheelz Good and Triibe Tape) sees the versatile craftsman continue to share his sentiments over sprightly Afrobeats formulations. In keeping with his manifesto of heart-on-the-sleeve expression, the artist born Phillip Kayode Moses relays affection, joy, hardship, and growth. Displaying his adeptness as a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and vocalist, Pheelz sprinkles his experiences over vibrant compositions informed by R&B, amapiano, and tropical infusions. Solitary collaborator Niniola joins Pheelz for infectious opener, “FEVER,” an energetic jam littered with flirtatious lyrics. The spirit of joining forces also shines through the bouncy “MAJO,” whose flowing rhythms capture the celebratory energy of an Owambe. “KAMAKAZE” meets an introspective Pheelz soulfully conveying his anxieties and frustrations, meanwhile: “On a daily I am looking for peace of mind,” he croons. “But you see true happiness is deep inside.” After the heartfelt melodies of “YEYE” offer some respite from life’s struggles, sultry closer “ROTATE” leaves all worries on the dance floor.
