In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories was playing two sold-out shows at Imperial in Quebec City. It was the first time I heard a crowd sing my lyrics back to me—I just stood there, taking it all in, feeling something I’d only ever dreamed of. Tell us why you chose this song. “Choke” Choke is the song I relate to most right now—it’s such an honest reflection of who I am as an artist. It came from a raw place, but it’s laced with humor and growth. It took a while to find its final form, but now it's become a pillar of the record.
