Maverick City Music

Cofounded by Tony Brown and Jonathan Jay, Maverick City Music is a songwriting-centric group formed in 2018 to compose and release worship music. ∙ Maverick City Music’s gospel-inspired debut single, the piano-heavy “Man of Your Word,” reached the Top 20 on Billboard’s Christian Airplay chart. ∙ Their debut LP, Maverick City Vol. 3 Part 1, reached the Top 10 on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums and Top Gospel Albums charts. ∙ In 2020, they were nominated for two GMA Dove Awards, for Gospel Worship Album of the Year (Maverick City Vol. 3 Part 1) and Gospel Worship Recorded Song of the Year (“Promises”).
