Hippo Campus

In 2013, indie-rock band Hippo Campus got together in high school with one goal in mind: “Let’s start a band and make our friends dance.” ∙ Lead vocalist Jake Luppen was a classically trained opera singer prior to forming the band. ∙ Their 2017 jangle-pop-to-hip-hop debut album, Landmark, peaked at No. 3 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. ∙ In 2019, they released Demos I—which featured eight of the ten songs from the previous year’s Bambi—offering fans insight into, as they put it, “where we were creatively throughout the process.”
