A Minute, A Moment...

A Minute, A Moment...

Myles Smith bares his soul on his third EP, A Minute, A Moment…, with songs about love, heartbreak and finding himself. It features six fresh tracks, bundled together with Smith's 2024 EP A Minute..., which features his breakthrough hit, “Stargazing”. The Luton-born singer-songwriter has gone from playing Ed Sheeran covers when he was 11 to supporting his idol on his European tour—and he found time to pick up the Rising Star Award at the 2025 BRITs. The love Smith sings about isn’t always straightforward: He pleads with an ex to get back together on “Made for Me” and finds summer romance on the handclap-heavy “Gold”, but “My First Heartbreak” sees him at his most personal as he shares his feelings about his father leaving the family home: “They say blood’s thicker than water, but I’m closer to the ocean than to you.” Each of the six new tracks showcases a confident and distinctive sound that mixes pop and country with his trademark vocals, which can easily turn from sweet to powerful. The songs never need to beg for a sing-along, so it’s no surprise he’s attracted collaborators including James Bay and Lainey Wilson, who brings a new perspective to his megahit “Nice to Meet You”. Smith, meanwhile, is keeping his feet firmly on the ground as international success builds. “Ten years ago I thought Luton was the edge of the earth, last year I thought it was England and now it’s the world,” he tells Apple Music’s Rebecca Judd. “I just want to continue to make music that connects and keep doing what I’m doing.”
